Terms & Conditions

Effective October 6, 2026 · Controller Forge, operated by [YOUR LEGAL NAME OR COMPANY] ("we", "us")

The short version (the full terms below still apply):

• Controller Forge is a monthly subscription, currently $3.00 USD per month.

• It renews automatically every month and charges the card you keep on file at the price in effect at that time, until you cancel.

• We can change the price. If we do, we email you at least 30 days before your first renewal at the new price, so you can cancel first.

• No refunds. All payments are final, including for partial months and unused time.

• Cancel any time from Manage billing / cancel. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for.

1. What Controller Forge is

Controller Forge ("the Service") is a web application for applying artwork to, and preparing multi-color 3D-printing files of, parts for the Polybar guitar controller system. It is an independent tool: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Polybar or its creators. Polybar part files are not included; you must supply your own and have the right to use them.

2. Accepting these terms

By subscribing to or using the Service you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a binding contract. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

3. Subscription and automatic monthly billing

3.1 Billing period. Your subscription gives you access to the Service for one month at a time, starting on the date your first payment succeeds.

3.2 Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly period. You authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge the payment method on file at the start of each new period, without further action from you, until you cancel.

3.3 Price. The current price is $3.00 USD per month, plus any applicable taxes. Each renewal is charged at the subscription price in effect when that renewal happens.

3.4 Price changes. We may change the subscription price at any time. If we do, we will email the address on your account at least 30 days before the change applies to you, stating the new price and the date it takes effect. The new price applies from your first renewal on or after that date. If you don't want to pay the new price, cancel before that renewal. If you don't cancel, you agree to be charged the new price for that renewal and every renewal after it.

3.5 Payment method. You must keep a valid payment method on file and keep it up to date in Manage billing. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it. Your access may be suspended until payment succeeds, and the subscription may be canceled if payment keeps failing.

3.6 Taxes. Prices don't include taxes unless stated. You're responsible for any sales, use or similar taxes that apply.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time, online, from Manage billing / cancel on our website. Cancellation stops all future renewals. You keep access until the end of the monthly period you've already paid for, and are not charged again. We may also cancel or suspend your subscription if you break these Terms, and we'll stop future charges if we do.

5. No refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable. We do not give refunds or credits for partial months, unused time, cancellation partway through a period, price changes you were notified of, accounts suspended for breaking these Terms, or dissatisfaction with the Service. This applies to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms takes away any right you have under laws that can't be waived where you live.

6. Your account and sign-in

Your account is tied to your email address. We sign you in with one-time links sent to that email, so keep your email account secure. One subscription is for one person. Don't share your access or sign-in links. You're responsible for activity under your account.

7. Your files and artwork

The STL files and artwork you load are processed on your own device, in your browser, and are not uploaded to us. You keep all rights to your files. You're responsible for having the right to use, modify and print the files and artwork you use, including any third-party designs, logos or trademarks.

8. Privacy and data security

We collect only what we need to run your subscription: your email address, your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your subscription status and renewal date, and the sign-in sessions on your devices. We never see or store your full card number. Card payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider, under Stripe's privacy policy. We use your email only for sign-in links, billing and price-change notices, and important account messages, and we don't sell it. Account data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our hosting provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information. If we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as the law requires. To ask about or delete your data, contact us at the address below.

9. Acceptable use

Don't copy, resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer or bypass the access controls of the Service, use it to infringe anyone's rights, or interfere with its operation.

10. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update, add or remove features. We may update these Terms; if a change is material, we'll email you or post a notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms. Price changes always follow section 3.4.

11. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Always check exported files in your slicer before printing. We are not responsible for failed prints, wasted filament or damage to printers.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or materials. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR STATE], USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [YOUR COUNTY, STATE], unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
